This kid-friendly concert features local musicians include Robbie Fulks, Erick Deshaun Dorris and The Bored of

In addition, singers from the BOM ensemble perform classic kid favorites. Also featured are
popular songs from the BOM archive—all based on stories written by Chicago Public School
students. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under and crawlers are free.
Barrel of Monkeys, a Chicago-based arts education theater ensemble, conducts writing
workshops with students from underserved Chicago public schools and turns their stories and
words into professionally-performed theater, presented both in-school and through a weekly
review for the general public called “That’s Weird, Grandma” (TWG). BOM performs more than
150 stories written by the students in their educational programs on the stage of TWG each year.
BOM also brings 350 stories annually to students through in-school performances.
